IMPHAL, Feb 29: Taking strong exception to the death of the minor girl who was allegedly raped, causing serious damage to her private parts in a resting shed at Chinikon under Bishnupur Police Station on February 15; Manipur Commission for Protection of Child Rights has instructed the SP and Principal Magistrate of JJB, Bishnupur district to look into the matter on priority and furnish an Action Taken Progress Report at the earliest.
The Commission in a press release termed the act as a grievous crime.
It may be mentioned that the minor girl who hailed from Noney, Tamenglong but stayed at her aunt’s house at Chinikon, Bishnupur district succumbed to the injuries at Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) yesterday early morning.
