IMPHAL, March 12: The Joint Frontal Development Organisation (JFDO) Tamenglong has ban all National Project in Tamenglong districts following the failure of the Government to fulfil its demand to transfer the DC of the district.
The JFDO stated that it is compelled to take the steps with the concerned authority ignoring its demand adding that further strong democratic form of agitation shall be imposed and implemented in due course of time.
It may be noted that the JFDO claiming that the present DC is incompetent and non-cooperative has been demanding the transfer of the DC IAS Luikham.
It said that several memorandum and ultimatum been served to the Chief Minister and concerned MLA’s and the reminder of which was submitted to Chief Minister GoM on dated March 1. Subsequent upon the indifferent attitude of the Government the organisation convened a meeting on March 3 wherein it resolved to ban all the activities under national and international project works including Railway and Highways construction works and power grid etc from March 9 till their demand is met.
