IMPHAL, Mar 20: One-day community consultation meeting through media on IPC Section 377, NALSA Judgment, current issues and challenges of MSM & Transgender, role of the community and their contribution, family sensitization and health issue and care was held today at conference hall of RD Wings, Lamphel.
The programme was organised by Maruploi Foundation in supported by sub-recipient the Humsafar Trust, Mumbai under the project DIVA (UNDP-Global fund-round 9).
The resource persons, JNIMS nodal officer ART, Dr Lokeshor spokes on the theme “developing community friendly service in health sector”, Manipur study centre, Manipur University Dr Vijaluxmi Brara spokes on the theme “gender identity and behavior of Nupimanbee”, district judge Senapati Dr Santibala on the spokes on the theme “legal perspective of Nupimanbee”, columnist OC Meira spokes on the theme “Imbalance between contribution of Nupimanbee and social recognition in Manipur” and and joint director, MSACS Abhiram Mongjam spokes on the theme “social prejudice” respectively.
