IMPHAL, Sept 18: An allegation of a pistol attack made on one Ningthoujam Muhindro, 40, s/o Achou of Yairipok Top Chingtha was decried by his family members and villagers today at Manipur Press Club.
In the regard, Asangbi, mother of Muhindro mentioned that some shots were fired at their residence on 15 September at about 3 pm.The shots were fired by one Kongbam Kishorkumar and Maibam Nodia who came in a car. Kishorkumar’s wife Inaocha is said to be a contesting Pradhan candidate.
Further, another two women who went for informing the locals of the area about the attack was abducted by Kishorkumar in the evening. After a complaint was lodged at Yairipok police station which was not received well and there has been no positive action in the regard, it was alleged.
Later, the said women were handed back to Yairipok Police Station by the abductors. The attack was mentioned to be carried out following political tussles.
