MSF appeal for oil pumps to open

IMPHAL, February 26: The Manipuri Students’ Federation (MSF) has appealed to all the oil pumps in the state to remain open considering the class X and class XII examinations. 

According to a release of the student body, the availability of oil abundantly with black marketers following the clsoure of oil pumps  shows that the state government, IOC and oil pump owners are all involved in selling oil to the black market taking advantage of the blockade.

MSF further questioned over where are the oil brought to the state on a daily basis escorted by security personnel and appealed to the oil pumps to stay open considering the ongoing class XII COHSEM exam and class X BoSEM exam commencing tomorrow.     

MSF also warned that it will take strict action against those who create fake oil scarcity by taking advantage of the blockade. 

It further said that MSF has found out that state government do partiality while distributing oil to oil pumps and also demanded clarification on why the IOC distributes less amount of oil prior to the blockade.

MSF conducted an inspection of oil pumps yesterday as announced earlier it said and provided the report of the inspection.

According to the report, Tiddim oil pump petrol sell was Nil while diesel sale was 4000 litres; PCTC Khuyathong sold 12,000 litres of petrol and diesel Nil; Bankiwal Enterprises, AOC selling 10,000 litres petrol and 4000 litres diesel; United Bros All Agency, Chingmeirong, selling 3500 litres petrol and 4284 litres diesel; PG Oil Pump, Chingmeirong with sale of 10,000 litres petrol and 7,000 litres diesel; Imphal Oil Pump, Sangakpham selling 8000 litres petrol and 12,000 litres diesel; Khurai Service Station, Khurai selling 4300 litres petrol and 4000 litres diesel; Friendly Enterprises, Khabeisoi selling petrol Nil and 8000 litres diesel; NRL Energy Station, Khurai selling petrol and Diesel both Nil; Porompat Service selling 15844 litres petrol and 38576 litres diesel; Kusum Oil Pump, Konungmamang selling 3000 litres petrol and diesel Nil; K&T Service Station, Andro Parking selling 3000 litres petrol and 15650 litres diesel; Krishnapremi Oil City, Loklaobung selling only 200 litres of petrol and diesel NIL; and Imo Filing Station, Singjamei selling 8000 litres petrol and 5000 litres diesel.
