IMPHAL, Sept 24: A 45 year old man sustained serious injury when he was shot at inside his residence by armed assailant late last evening at Tadubi.
The victim has been identified as one Kashitri Mao, 45, son of Pukhreho Mao of Kaibi village Tadubi police station Senapati district, around five and half kilometre east from Tadubi police station.
Police informed that the two armed assailants barged into victim’s residence and shot him at close range around 6.30 pm.
He sustained bullet injury on his left temple and is undergoing treatment at the Shija Hospital.
While the motive behind the attack was not known, a case has been registered at the Tadubi police station till the filing of this report.
