JIRIBAM, November 3: ADC member Hatlhing Dougel from Tamenglong’s 10/Phaituol graced the inaugural of a community hall at Ngahmunpal village in Tamenglong’s Tousem sub-division as the chief guest yesterday. He also distributed 120 quintals of rice under the PDS in 15 villages in the last two days and inspected the guest house constructed by the Phaituol Village Authority under the MP local area development fund.
The community hall constructed with funding from DRDA by the village authority at a cost of Rs 10 lakhs was handed over to the people by the Phaituol ADC member after the inaugural function.
After distributing rice to the villagers of Tatbung, Old Keiphundai, Vangaichungpao, Lhangnom, Ngahmunphai and Phaituol, he inspected a guest house constructed at a cost of Rs 10 crore with the local area development fund of MP Thangso Baite.
Talking to media persons, Dougel said he will build a village authority office at Phaituol under BRGF and will construct extension rooms of some schools under MSDP.
He also promised to help build houses of BPL families under the Indira Awaz Yojna and initiate the process of black topping the road leading to Phaituol from the National Highway 37 by consulting the concerned authorities.
