IMPHAL, Dec 23: The proscribed Revolutionary People`™s Front in a statement signed by Bangkim, chief of the department of publicity, Revolutionary People`™s Front has claimed that its armed wing PLA has successfully launched attack on 26 Assam Rifles, on December 21 evening, killing two personnel and leaving several injured.
The statement claimed that the attack was carried out by 252 mobile battalion of PLA under `Operation Blue Eagle`™ against the troopers of 26 AR under Red Shield Division. During the attack, PLA`™s sergeant Doren sacrificed his life for the cause of the motherland, it said.
Further the statement continued that the Indian colonial army has been hiding the truth from the public regarding the exact number of casualties in any of the attacks carried out against them by the anti-colonial forces so far. It said no arm or ammunition of the PLA has been able to be recovered by the Indian forces. Those members of PLA involved in the said operation have safely returned to the battalion headquarter, it added.
