JNN and Lens Film hold photo exhibition at Jiribam

JIRIBAM, January 9: The Jiri News Network (JNN), Jiribam and Lens Film, Imphal has organised a Photo Exhibition at Jiribam Higher Secondary School Auditorium Hall from today onward with Additional Deputy Commissioner, Jiribam, Harmit Singh Pahuja as the chief guest.

The opening program was also attended by President of Jiri News Network (JNN), Sarat Thokchom as president and Advisor of All Manipur Working Journalist Union (AMWJU), N. Tombiraj Singh, Principal of Jiribam Higher Secondary School, L. Ranjit Kumar Singh and Editor of Manipur Chronicle, Nilotpol Choudhury as guests of honour.

The welcome address was presented by GS of JNN, Romeo Moirangthem and the exhibition was opened with the cutting of the ribbon by the chief guest. Afterward, ex-President of AMWJU, Bijoy Kakchingtambam gave the key note address and expressed the people of Jiribam to take interest in becoming Photo Journalist.

The chief guest, Dr. Harmit Singh Pahuja has said that the work of a Photo Journalist is very hard and that the photos in the exhibition will provide knowledge to the people. He further said that a picture is worth a 1000 words and that the press media must be careful in printing news as any error in news printing can be harmful to the society.
