UKHRUL, February 17: The Northern Raphei Students` Union (NRSU) and the JAC against the triple murder of New Tusom villagers have today decided to put off their proposed agitation following assurance from the Ukhrul SP to bring justice to the murder case within the shortest possible timeframe.

NRSU president Agarso Horam informed this IFP correspondent over the phone this evening that the decision to put off the proposed agitation came after Ukhrul SP assured them of justice in the case during an hour long meeting with the representatives of NRSU and JAC at his office chamber at 11 am Tuesday.

Horam said that SP has shown keen interest in resolving the case at the earliest, while also adding that the district police chief has expressed deep concern over frequent happening of such heinous crimes which is taking the shape of a trend in the district.

Further quoting Ukhrul SP, Horam informed that with the Jessami SDPO apparently failing to crak the case, Chingai SDPO would now be endorsed to bring justice in the case.

“Since Chingai SDPO Ramror is currently undergoing training at Delhi till February 20, we have been asked for another meeting soon after his return, ” Horam added.
