IMPHAL, March 24: The Kalakshetra Manipur has said that Director of Kalakshetra Manipur, Heisnam Kanhailal will be conferred the META (Mahindra Excellence in Theatre Awards) Lifetime Achievement Award for 2015.
According to a release of Kalakshetra Manipur, the award will be presented at the META Awards Night to be held on March 27 at 7.30 pm at the Taj Mahal Hotel, No. 1 Mansingh Road, New Delhi.
The award was instituted five years ago to acknowledge the dedication, energy and works of leading theatre practitioners across the decades. It may be mentioned that the award of Rs. 5 Lakh will be presented to H. Kanhailal by Chairman of the Mahindra Group, Anand Mahindra on March 27, it said.
