IMPHAL, May 11: A group of Lamkang women from 13 Vomku District Council Constituency has strongly condemned the kidnap of Shangkhu Shilshi , wife of Beradin Shilshi Lamkang, a BJP candidate for the ensuing Autonomous District Council election by suspected cadres of NSCN (IM) from Pallel last Saturday though she was freed later.
They appealed to all concerned not to repeat such act in future.
Speaking to media persons today, Kh Fedalis Sangkhilnu of New Lamkang Khunthak Village conveyed that a sit-in-protest was supposed to be staged by women folks of 13 Vomku District Council today in condemnation of the kidnap but was called off after the BJP candidate appealed to not organize the protest.
