IMPHAL, May 11: A minor girl identified as Tongbram Mayarani, 11 daughter of Tongbram Noren of Keibul Chandpur under Moirang Police Station, Bishnupur district was found dead in suspicious manner inside the campus of Keibul Primary School today evening.
Police suspected that the girl was sexually assaulted and murdered. Her whereabouts remained traceless since morning. The dead body was come across by her brother inside the school campus in the evening.
The dead body has been preserved at RIMS morgue for post mortem examination.
One person has been pulled up by the police in connection with the incident.
