IMPHAL, May 15: BJP RTI cell convenor Mongjam Poireihenba alleged that Lamlai Constituency MLA Kshetrimayu Biren has forcibly abolished education in Lamlai constituency.
He was reacting to MLA Biren`™s clarification made on May 9, 2015 in local newspapers on the issue of suspension and transfers of one headmaster and two headmistresses on charges of corruption and misuse of money meant for construction of school building in Lamlai.
He said that the headmaster of Kharosom Primary school Waikhom Ibochou and two headmistresses Irom Ongbi Thangamlal and Kanchan of Yourbung Primary and Chingkhei Mamang Primanry Schools were charged of corruption and misuse of funds for schools construction for they have not completed construction works at their schools.
He further said that at the same time other schools in Lamlai constituency MLA claimed construction works were completed properly but this was not so.
In this regard the schools that MLA mentioned where construction have not been completed are all in same stage of construction as any other schools in Lamlai, therefore not the only ones at fault.
