Accused in Lungnila Elizabeth`s murder case produced before court

IMPHAL, Aug 24: Two main accused in the murder case of Baby Lungnila Elizabeth were produced before the court of District & Sessions Judge, Manipur West at Uripok Cheirap Court complex today.

Luningla Elizabeth daughter of Minister Francis Ngajokpa was abducted from near the Little Flower School where she was studying on November 4, 2003 for ransom.

Later, she was found murdered mercilessly.

The two main accused are identified as Th Nanao alias Nanao and Letkhosei Haokip alias James Kuki.

They are facing session trial in the court based on the charge sheets submitted by Central Bureau of investigation (CBI) to the court on December 28, 2007.

One of the prosecution witnesses of the case, who is from outside the State was supposed to give statement and cross examined in connection with the case today but failed to turn up.

As the prosecution witness failed to turn up, the court fixed a date to perform further deposition of the case.

In today`™s hearing of the case, senior advocate H Chandrajit Sharma, Special Public Prosecutor represented on behalf of CBI.
