IMPHAL, Sept 26: A personnel of the Assam Rifles had reportedly shot himself dead during the intervening night of September 24 and 25 in Ukhrul district.
Sources said the AR personnel Inbit Hussain posted at the 44 Assam Rifles Kamjong Post under Kamjong Police shot himself dead with his own service rifle. The police have deposited his body at the RIMS mortuary for post mortem, informed the source.
