IPAK celebrates 1st foundation day

IMPHAL, September 7: Promoting working culture among the local populace to save the `indigenous`™ peoples of the State marked the first foundation day celebration function of Indigenous Peoples Association of Kangleipak (IPAK) held today at Manipur Press Club, Imphal.

Materials like scissors, comb, cloths to start up a barber shop were distributed to around 23 unemployed youngsters in an aim to build work culture in the State.

According to an IPAK volunteer they had earlier made an announcement through the media that the organization would provide help to whoever comes forward to work and earn their living.

He said IPAK will sponsor the training of these youngsters and also will arrange a place to start their business.

The function was attended by Dr Moirangthem Nara, ex-MLA Joykishan and IPAK president Sapamcha Jadumani as presidium members.

Dr Moirangthem Nara speaking at the function said that this is not the time to criticize one another using community names like Meitei or Naga or Kuki instead we should look for a solution on how to co-exist peacefully.

`Let us not try to complicate the situation. We should not make comments or criticize mentioning names like Meitei or Naga or Kuki here in this situation.`

`We are here in the state of Manipur and we must collectively find a solution for peaceful co-existence with love and care.`

`Let us all try to bring a solution to the present issues.`

`We must not divide one another by religion.`

`We should treat human beings as human beings only and also we should admit our wrongdoings and not try to justify it,` he added.

He further said that what Papu Yadav has said and been doing in Bihar is individual however he needs to be stopped. `If he continues we will urge our party office to stop his action as well as to make a complaint to the government there in Bihar that he needs to be arrested.`

`This is simply not the way,` he maintained.

He said likewise here in Manipur also we can see some foolish individuals and not organization without even understanding the demands properly trying to take things a little too far and using words like `Mayang Hatlo.` We all need to stop these kinds of act at once before things turning into an ugly situation.

From top to bottom our society has been corrupted and we need to give our attending towards this issue because even if we succeeded in turning the three Bills into Acts if there is corruption it will not be effective at all. So, corruption is also one of the major issues which we all need to fight together, he appealed the people.
