IMPHAL, November 4: Kangujam Mangi who had fought the last State general election on a NCP ticket in Thongju Constituency joined the BJP today and announced support to Thangju BJP candidate Thongam Biwajit.
BJP Manipur Pradesh president Th Chaoba said in a press conference announcing the joining of K Mangi to BJP.
He said it is encouraging that the former candidate of Thongju has endorsed the BJP ideology and shown support to BJP.
He said the MPP and LJP have already announced their support for the BJP in the upcoming bye election.
The people seem to be fed up with the Congress and supporting the BJP to eradicate corruption, he said.
Meanwhile, K Mangi said that he has joined the BJP for its ideology and believed that there will be change in State if the BJP comes to power.
The press conference was also attended by former Speaker Dr S Dhananjoy, Dr RK Ranjan.
