IMPHAL, December 9: MPCC president Gaikhangam, has expressed his confidence that congress will come to power at the centre in the next LS poll under the leadership of Sonia Gandhi.
Gaikhangam stated this during in a simple function of celebrating the 69th birth anniversary of AICC president Sonia Gandhi at the premises of Nongpok Maheikol, Brahmapur Aribam Leikai Imphal East District today.
He further said that AICC is working hard to return to power in the next LS poll after the recent defeated.
The contribution and dedication of the Gandhi family’s in India’s history is countless and till date the Gandhi family has huge potential to give a facelift to the country.
He said further that Sonia has lots of potential to hold Prime Minister’s post but she sacrificed and choose to have closed relation with people of India adding that as a president she tried continued to preserve the legacy of her husband and mother-in-low.
Expressing his confidence to come to power, he appealed his colleague and fellow political leaders to work with the people ever so that the dream of congress fullfill in the time to come adding that the congress will also succeed in every upcoming election in Manipur too.
Govindas Konthoujam, Kh Ratan, Mangibabu, Victor Keishing, Chaotolien Amo and official of MPCC were also present. The party also extended assistance to the Girl’s home (Nongpok Maheikol).
Meanwhile, in connection with the 69th birth Anniversary of AICC president Sonia Gandhi the Manipur Pradesh Mahila Congress Committee president Km L Tilotama Devi today has presented gifts to destitute blind school students.
In the simple function, IFCD Minister Ngamthang Haokip, MLA Karungthang general secretary in-charge Mahila, chairmen chandel district and principal of blind school were also present.
