IMPHAL, Dec 19: The Revolutionary People’s Front (RPF) has claimed responsibility for the attack carried out on 21 AR camp on early morning of December 17 in Chandel district.
A statement of the outfit signed by Bangkim, chief of Department of Publicity of RPF, said that the attack was carried out by its 252 mobile battalion of its armed wing People’s Liberation Army (PLA) at 6.30 am.
It said the army suffered heavy casualty in the attack carried out by heavy fire power like automatic rifles, RPG, grenade launcher etc.
Stating that the PLA cadres involved in the attack returned to their camp safely, the chief of army of the outfit also praised the team.
