IMPHAL, Dec 18: The Manipur People’s Party has condemned the bomb threat on the editor in chief of Impact TV Yumnam Rupachandra.
A statement of the party said that the media is regarded as the fourth pillar of democracy and they work day and night in the interest of the people.
However, in Manipur threatening media persons is not a new thing and they undergo such threats frequently, it said.
The MPP further urged all concerned not to threaten the media persons just for some personal demand.
Placing of bombs which could kill people is an act against the people of the land, it continued.
