IMPHAL, January 4: Union Minister of State for Development of Northeastern Region (DoNER) Dr Jitendra, has said that the Prime of India is personally monitoring the entire sequence of earthquake hit Manipur.
The DoNER Minister stated this while briefing media persons at Tulihal Airport after he landed in Imphal today to take stock of the situation.
From the Airport the Minister headed straight to RIMS hospital and visited the injured admitted there.
He told reporters at RIMS that the Government immediately dispatched two NDRF teams since early in the morning on receiving the information of the calamity in Manipur.
Another NDRF team along with Doctors is reaching reach Imphal soon adding that expressed his condolence to the bereaved families who were killed in the quake on behalf of Indian Government and assured to provide necessary assistance.
Central government and Prime Minister are there to stand by the people of Northeast especially the people Manipur in tough time like this, said Dr Jitendra Singh.
