IMPHAL, Feb 16: A man whose brother was allegedly kidnapped from a hotel in Kamjong area last year has appealed to the concerned to release him.
According to Hijam Shyamchandra, his brother Hijam Irabanta, 38 son of H Hera Singh of Andro Khuman Leikai was allegedly kidnapped by unidentified armed miscreants on October 16, 2015 from Kamjong area.
Irabanta remains untraceable till date, said his brother H Shyamchandra urging all concerned to release him considering the plight of his two small children who are just five and three years old.
Family members of Irabanta accompanied by the village chief of Andro called a press conference at the Manipur Press Club to appeal to the concerned individuals to release him.
Shyamchandra said his brother had gone to Kamjong area to buy chillies and was staying at a hotel called the Sunrise Hotel when he was taken away forcibly by some unknown armed miscreants.
