More support pours in for Feb 6 mass rally in Imphal

IMPHAL, Feb 1: International Peace and Social Advancement, IPSA has announced today to provide physical and moral support to the February 6 mass rally to be jointly organised by United Committee Manipur, All Manipur United Clubs Organisation, and Committee of Civil Societies, Kangleipak.

In a press release, IPSA said it will not remain silent to any attempt threatening to breach the state boundary which has been kept safeguarded by the forefathers since time immemorial. Various communities have been residing in Manipur and India government needs to know the two thousand years old history of this land, it said.

India government should not act just to serve the interest of a particular community or a particular insurgent group which may hurt the sentiment of others, it stressed.

The eastern students’ Club, Nongmeibung; New Checkon Youth Club; the Nongmeibung Women’s Development Meirapaibi Association; Citizens Committee, Thangmeiband Lourungpurel Leikai, Thongju Kendra United Clubs’ Association, Indigenous People’s Association of Kangleipak and Aam Aadmi Party, Manipur have also affirmed their support to the rally.
