IMPHAL, Mar 11: Wangkhei MLA Yumkham Irabot Singh today inaugurated the long awaited Ima Khurai Lamlong Keithel Temporary Market Shed for Women.
The inaugural function was organised by Lamlong Keithel Development Committee.
During the inaugural function Irabot said that the temporary market shed with a 111 vendor capacity may be considered as one of the smallest market shed compared to the market capacity of the area.
He further assured to expand the market in the near future after proper consultation with the concerned MLAs and identifying a proper space for construction.
He further urged the women vendors and locals to inform him if there is any proper space available for the expansion.
Earlier in the morning, the organisers also offered a prayer to the keithel deity for prosperity of the market and women vendors.
