IMPHAL, Mar 11: The India’s Public Service Broadcaster, All India Radio, Imphal has said that Thokchom Lansana Chanu, daughter of Th. Thouyangba of Kongba has been selected by Asia Pacific Broadcasting Union to perform in the ABU Radio Music Festival 2016 which will be held in Beijing, China on April 26.
According to a release of the AIR, Th. Lansana Chanu is a young exponent of Meitei eshei, appearing for the 12th class exam. She will be performing a stylized Meitei eshei genre. She is the second youngest artist to represent India from AIR, Imphal. Earlier in 2014, Mangka Mayanglangbam represented India from Manipur in the festival which was held in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
