IMPHAL, Apr 20: An unidentified UG group attacked a patrolling party of the 11 Assam Rifles, T Minou Post by exploding four powerful IEDs using remote control device this morning around 7:10 at Moreh border town, injuring three personnel.
The attacked occurred along an IVR in between Holenphai and T Minou just 4km south of Moreh Police Station.
The injured personnel were shifted to the Leimakhong Army Hospital after first aid was provided at the unit hospital.
All three are stated to be out of danger. However, further details of the injured personnel couldn’t be ascertained.
The Moreh Police has taken up a case regarding the attack.
Meanwhile, decrying the attack, the All Community Welfare Association, Moreh an apex body of the four major communities residing in Moreh has called a bandh from 6am to 6pm tomorrow in the border town.
