The students accompanied by officials of Sarva Sikhsha Abhiyan, State Mission Authority, Manipur, will halt a night at Ukhrul Higher Secondary School, Ukhrul, where the students will participate in an interaction programme with local students and people.
While interacting with the students before their departure, the minister said that such field visits are always interesting and the students will find quite a lot to learn from the visit.
He also elaborated the students to absorb all the positive knowledge while enjoying the trip as the students could act as catalyst for a positive change and sow the seed of integration, peace and harmony in the state.
The Shirui Festival is an annual festival and this time the government has put maximum effort to bring communal harmony among the people, and the Field Exposure Visit is being coordinated by SSA, SMA as part of certain exchange programme for students to provide them with an opportunity to explore new things, added the minister.
State project director, SSA/SMA and director, Education (S), Manipur N Praveen said that another group of 52 students of Irilbung High School will leave Imphal for the similar trip today.
